The Forbach Stables is part of the leisure division of VA group.

Established in 2008 in the north –east of Mauritius The Forbach Stables aims to provide riding lessons, education on horse care and leisure riding to the local Mauritian population, local expats and visitors from overseas. Many people have learnt to ride with us, or re-discovered riding after many years, we have quiet well behaved horses, an enthusiastic teacher and very reasonable prices which help to encourage many people into this wonderful sport. For overseas visitors we have a 1-day package full of riding and information which has proven very popular with novice and advanced riders alike.

The Forbach Stables currently has stabling for 16 horses and ponies. Our ponies have either been imported from South Africa or bred locally. Our horses are all thoroughbred ex-racehorses. Mauritius has a popular horse racing industry, every year many horses retire from their racing careers and need to find new homes; The Forbach Stables aims to provide a life-long home for as many of these horses as possible, through the support of all those that ride with us we are gradually expanding as a business and providing care for an increasing number of horses.

Open Tuesday-Saturday 8am-5pm and Sunday 8am-12noon.
